Angelica Villuendas

Angelica has been in dog rescue for about a decade and has a deep passion for helping dogs and owners alike. She started up her own rescue organization in Jacksonville, NC in 2016 and has been helping dogs and their families ever since. Upon dealing with some tough cases of aggression, reactivity, anxiety, etc., Angelica decided she wanted to expand her career into dog training, so that she could help solve so many of the problem behaviors she sees on a daily basis.

Upon completion of an extensive internship in 2022, Angelica joined the AvidDog team and has helped countless families learn to enjoy their dogs by providing top notch training services and building client relationships.

Dog Trainer

Tricia Hernandez

My passion for animals started early, and I’ve been working with dogs since 2010, when I got my start as a kennel technician. That experience opened the door to the world of dog behavior, and over time, it grew into a true calling. I’ve been training dogs professionally for the past five years, working with a wide range of breeds and temperaments.
I currently share my life with five dogs of different breeds, each with their own unique personality and training needs. I also care for a small farm that includes chickens, geese, goats, and horses—so I understand firsthand the responsibility and joy that come with caring for animals of all kinds.
What drives me most is helping dog owners build better communication and stronger bonds with their dogs. Whether it’s basic obedience, problem behaviors, or just helping a family understand their new puppy, I love being part of that journey.

Beth has trained under some of the most respected professionals in the industry and gained hands-on experience in a variety of settings - including training facilities, in-home environments, shadow programs, and virtual coaching. Her commitment to excellence and continued growth ultimately led her to leave a corporate career to pursue dog training full-time.
